The P16-R impresses with a timeless and elegant design that combines premium materials with classic styling. The cue features a natural-stained figured maple forearm highlighted by its striking grain pattern and framed with simulated ebony accents. Intricately designed points in simulated ivory, blue Juma, and simulated ebony are complemented by simulated ivory diamonds as well as matching ivory and pearl inlays. A simulated ebony butt sleeve provides a beautiful contrast to the lighter decorative elements, enhancing the cue’s refined appearance. The design is completed by a traditional black and white Irish linen wrap, offering both a secure grip and a comfortable feel during play.

Beyond its elegant aesthetics, the P16-R also delivers outstanding performance. Equipped with a stainless steel Piloted Speed Joint, it provides a solid connection between the shaft and butt, resulting in a precise and responsive hit. The Pro-Taper shaft with a 12.75 mm tip diameter ensures smooth stroke delivery and excellent cue ball control. The long-established company J. Pechauer Cues was founded by chance in 1961 when Jerry Pechauer, the company's founder, won a defective Willy Hope cue in a bet and repaired it himself. What started as a sideline while Jerry was working in sales evolved into a fully-fledged company when his son Joe, aged 14, also built a cue. A partnership with Fred Mali then brought the brand international recognition.
