With extensions you can reach difficult to reach cue balls. They are often made of aluminium and are attached directly to the bottom of the cue. It is also available as a plug-on extension. In most cases, they are extendable, similar to a telescope, and are therefore very flexible and can be used precisely.
For all more ambitious players telescopic extensions are a must have. They are available in lengths from 9 to 26 inches. When fully extended, they can be extended by half. Standard extensions are between 18 and 23 inches long.
Mini-Butts
Mini-butts in snooker are handy little aids you shouldn't miss. They are used to extend the cue when the cue ball is difficult to reach. They are screwed to the bottom of the cue and provide a solid connection. Since they are often made of rosewood or ebony, and thus have a similar density as the butt, there is hardly any difference in grip and balance of a cue without mini-butt.
A standard mini-butt has a length of 6 inches (approx. 15 cm). With very short mini-butts you can also permanently extend a cue, e.g. with a length of 1.5 or 3 inches. Smaller players may be interested in longer variations.
