McDermott's Cue Wax is a mixture of beeswax and olive oil. After cleaning the cue, the wax is applied and will prevent the penetration of dirt into the deeper layers of wood. It keeps the cue gliding and protects it against effects of weather like humidity. When used correctly, a very thin protective film protects the shaft and allows the cue to slide smoothly through the fingers.
