The long-established company J. Pechauer Cues was founded by chance in 1961 when Jerry Pechauer, the company's founder, won a defective Willy Hope cue in a bet and repaired it himself. What started as a sideline while Jerry was working in sales evolved into a fully-fledged company when his son Joe, aged 14, also built a cue.
